The Wildcats split a doubleheader on Saturday, June 8, beating Osage 6-5 in the first game of the day and falling 5-4 to Saint Ansgar.

Riceville scored its six runs on nine hits, including three doubles, against Osage. In the loss, the Wildcats managed eight hits, but sophomore Josie Gansen struggled on the mound, allowing eight hits and five runs in seven innings of work.  

The Riceville softball team had its winning streak snapped by Don Bosco on Thursday, June 6, as the Warriors won 13-7.

Junior Kayln Jensen allowed nine earned runs in 3 1/3 innings of work. Sophomore Josie Gansen came on in relief and allowed four earned runs.

The Riceville softball team had 12 hits and nine walks in a Wednesday, June 5 game against GMG, Garwin, for the Wildcats sixth straight victory, by a 17-4 margin. 

Since losing their first three games of the season, Riceville has won every game. Josie Gansen and Kayln Jensen each had three hits, and scored three runs in the ballgame.

The Riceville softball team continued its dominating run on Monday, June 3 against North Tama, with a 9-0 win.

The Wildats managed 13 hits as an offense, including three singles by first baseman Abby Marr.

Junior Kayln Jensen pitched seven shutdown innings, allowing four hits, and zero earned runs.

On Monday, June 10, the Wildcats traveled to Clarksville. Riceville will host Baxter on Wednesday, June 12 and will travel to Janesville on Friday, June 14.
