RICEVILLE -- It's been a tough season for the Riceville baseball team.
However, they are still hanging onto their goal "to play gritty baseball," said junior Judge Losee.
Another junior, Sully Fair, said the Wildcats "work together really well."
He noted Riceville low on numbers this year, but in a way that's an advantage because "we get to play every game," which helps them -- particularly the younger players -- improve.

Senior Kaleb Asfhal said one of the areas where the Wildcats need to improve is "getting seventh-inning outs."
"When the game is on the line, stay focused," Losee said.
Fair said his favorite thing about playing for the Wildcats is "being with your friends during the summer."
