On Wednesday, June 26, the softball and baseball players from both Osage and St. Ansgar joined together for a new and fun rivalry – seven innings of boys versus girls in kickball.

The sixth graders played in St Ansgar and the fifth graders played in Osage. The games were exciting and very close to the end.

According to Rob Meier,

“The intent of this activity is to bring the kids together after a great ball season and have them build positive relationships,” Rob Meier said. “It has been an outstanding year for ball and Del Gast and I talked about the best way to end the season.

“We both agreed that a friendly kickball game would be an awesome way to build those relationships while having a lot of fun, and as you can see, it was a great success.”

Both expressed their thanks and appreciation to coaches and parents for being positive role models and helping make this a wonderful opportunity for their kids.
