OSAGE | The Osage trapshooting is off to a great start despite less than cooperative weather.

On Saturday, April 13, the Green Devils traveled to the Fredricksburg Trap Range for a meet hosted by New Hampton. Teams participating were Charles City, Cresco, Denver, Echo Valley, Janesville, Mason City, Nashua/Plainfield, New Hampton, N-K, Osage, South Winn, S. Ansgar and Turkey Valley. There were a total of 203 shooters.

Results were as follows: girls – first, Jolene Hansen, St. Ansgar, (47), second, Shayla Kuehnen, Turkey Valley, (45) and third, Kaylie Klimesh, Turkey Valley, (45). Osage’s top shooters were Chloe Goodale and Jenna Plotzke, both with a 43, placing them eighth and ninth place; for the boys – first, Andrew Thyer, Osage, (50), second, Tanner Lane, New Hampton, (49) and third, Jordan Buchheit, South Winn, (49).

In teams results – first, New Hampton Black (229), second New Hampton Red (228) and third, TV Red (225). Osage’s top team took sixth place with a 215. Team members were Andrew Thyer, (50), Jenna Plotzke, (43), Matthew Abben, (37), Joe Theis, (42) and Chloe Goodale, (43).

On Monday, April 8, the Osage Trap Team hosted a meet at the Mitchell County Trap Range. Team participating were New Hampton and Osage, for a total of 48 shooters.

Results for the girls – first, Chloe Goodale, Osage, (43), second, Jenna Plotzke, Osage, (42) and third, Adrian Rings, New Hampton, (41), who had a shoot off with Ashlynn Brock, Osage, who also had 41; boys – first, Cameron Mass, New Hampton, (48), second, Luke Croell, New Hampton (47); second and third were determined by a shoot off; third, Gavin Rings, New Hampton, (47).

Team results were – first, New Hampton Red (225), second, New Hampton White (203) and third, New Hampton Black (199).

The Green Devils traveled to the Nashua Fish and Game Trap Range on Saturday, April 6 for a meet hosted by Nashua/Plainfield. Schools participating included Charles City, Lake Mills, New Hampton, Nashua/Plainfield, Osage, S Winn and St. Ansgar. There were a total of 112 shooters.

Results for the girls – first, Katie Holschlag, New Hampton, (49), second, Chloe Goodale, Osage, (47) and third, Jayda Nehl, New Hampton, (46); for the boys – first, Hunter Tritch, Lake Mills, (49), second. Tanner Jenkins, New Hampton, (49) and third, Tristen Scmidt, New Hampton, (49).

Team results were – first, New Hampton (233); second, Osage (230). Team members were Andrew Thyer, (48), Meirick Huffman, (44), Ben Popp, (46), Chloe Goodale, (47) and Joe Theis, (45). The third place team was Charles City (229).

The Green Devils traveled to the Nashua Fish and Game Trap Range on Thursday, April 4th for a meet hosted by Charles City. Schools participating were Charles City, Nashua/Plainfield and Osage, for a total of 43 participants.

Results for the girls – first, Chloe Goodale, Osage, (40), second, Ashlynn Brock, Osage, (38) and third, Jenna Plotzke, Osage, (38).

On Monday, April 1, the Green Devils traveled to a trap range in Austin, Minnesota for a meet hosted by Northwood-Kensett. Schools participating were Osage and N-K, for a total of 24 participants.

Results for the girls – first, Chloe Goodale, Osage (45), second, Jenna Plotzke, Osage, (43) and third, Ashlynn Brock, Osage, (40); boys – first, Andrew Thyer, Osage, (49), second, Kade Stambaugh, N-K, (46) and third with a 45 were Joe Theis, Osage, and Tristan Rothove, N-K.

Team results were first, Osage (226). Team members were Andrew Thyer, (49), Jenna Plotzke, (43), Ben Popp, (44), Chloe Goodale, (45) and Joe Theis. Second - N-K (215); third, Osage (203). Team members were Matt Abben, (40), Ashlynn Brock, (40), Mat Johnson, (39), Meirick Huffman, (44) and Braxtin Gocha, (40).
