After a rough start to the season, the Osage boys golfers have improved tremendously and are looking to achieve their goal of repeating as conference champions.
"We have made leaps and bounds as a team," said junior Jarett Scharper.
They attribute their success to their work ethic.
Even on days when they don't have practice, such as weekends, "we are always at the course," Scharper said.
"On any nice day, we are out there. We just want to get better," said junior Ty Creger.
Another junior, Zach Duren, said the Green Devils have dropped 30 strokes as a team since the beginning of the season.

At one of their home meets this year, they won with a score of 179 despite the pouring rain.
"That was crazy," Duren said, noting it was so wet it was difficult to even hold a club.
Duren said the Green Devils still have things they need to work on, such as finishing strong.
They tend to get tired at the end of holes "and get some bad scores," he said.
The Green Devils are fortunate to have six guys on varsity who play well together.
"We are all really good friends," he said.
