The Green Devils got a stellar performance from senior Brett Bobinet during their Friday, June 7 victory against Belmond-Klemme.
Bobinet pitched 6 1/3 innings, striking out 12 and allowing three earned runs. He also had a pair of hits and stole two bases.
Colin Muller had two RBIs and went 2-for-4 with a triple. Osage stole 11 bases.
Each team scored three runs in the first, and each team scored two in the seventh. The difference: Osage scored a pair of runs in the sixth; Belmond-Klemme did not.
Forest City scored two runs in the top of the first inning on Wednesday, June 5, and took a quick lead. But that was all the offense the Indians could muster, as Osage exploded for 11 runs in the middle innings, eventually winning the game 12-2.
The Green Devils collected seven hits, and eight walks. Junior Gavin Schaefer had two of Osage's hits, and collected three RBIs. Freshman Tyler Oberfoell also had three RBI.
Schaefer was a force on both sides of the ball. The junior pitched six innings, and allowed one hits and two unearned runs. Though he walked six, he struck out seven.

Osage entered the bottom of the sixth down 4-2 but scored four runs to claim a 6-4 victory against the Cardinals on Monday, June 3.
Four Green Devils finished with two hits, including Hayden Meek, who also hit a home run and had two RBIs.
Keaton Muller got the win after pitching 1 2/3 innings, allowing only one baserunner and striking out three.
On Monday, June 10, the Green Devils traveled to North Iowa. The Green Devils will host Central Springs on Wednesday,
June 12. They travel to Waukon on Thursday, June 13. The Green Devils end the week on Friday, June 14 at St. Ansgar.
