Bryce Conway has only 12 players on his roster, but he still believes Riceville’s baseball team will be competitive this summer.
Derrick Dunn, Kaleb Asfahl and Ryan Larsen are the Wildcats’ returning seniors. Sully Fair and Judge Losee, juniors, also return.
Asfahl, who batted .337 last season, also had a team-high 29 hits with 16 RBIs. Larsen was the team’s primary pitcher, starting nine games and striking out 57. He had an ERA of 4.73 and an opposing batting average of .265.

Fair struck out 37 and had an ERA of 3.11.
“I expect us to compete well with three quality pitchers and two-to-three unproven pitchers,” Bryce Conway, entering his 16th year as coach, said. “I expect us to be strong up the middle defensively and should have a quality lineup that is capable of scoring enough runs to compete day in and day out.”
