Mitchell County Regional Health Center is currently in a constant state of progress; we, as an organization, are progressive. At this point in time, MCRHC is in the midst of a $12.5 building project, transitioning to a new scheduling, purchasing and financial software system, as well as a new laboratory software system. Our staff is learning every single day, changing processes and adjusting to their new work space, that will change again before all is said and done. Change is hard, both internally and externally – but it can also be very exciting and as an organization we strive to be continuously growing and developing, to be progressive!

Most recently, one of the construction phases was complete. The construction of the heliport on the roof of the expanded clinic was complete and in operation as of last week. We are very excited to reach this phase in the project and believe is the safest most efficient way to transport patients in need of emergency higher level of care.

Additionally, the Rise Up Steering Committee is hosting informational forums on-site, complete with tours of the already completed areas of the building project and time for Q&A sessions. These events are scheduled for November 7 and 13 at 6:00 p.m. for the general public, as well as a business-focused forum on December 5, also at 6:00 p.m. Those interested in attending should contact Kara Naig at naigkl@mercyhealth.com or 641-732-6013.

I encourage you to attend one of these forums so you can learn more about how Mitchell County Regional Health Center is being progressive!
