St. Ansgar High School was crowned the state champion at the Physics Olympics on April 9 on the University of Northern Iowa campus. 

This is the first time St. Ansgar has ever won a state physics championship against teams from Area Education Agency districts across the state.

About 150 students representing 21 different schools competed in the event. 

Physics Olympics events were Challenge Problem, Mouse Trap Car, Soda Straw Arm, Catapult, and Bridge Building.
