A group of three students from the Osage High School participated in the State Special Olympics Summer Games held on the campus of Iowa State University.
Those advancing were Ryan Hemann, Nathan Bartholmey and Braelyn Bierbrodt.
Their results included Ryan, second place, motorized wheelchair race and first, tennis ball throw; Nathan, third place, 50 m dash; and Braelyn, third place, softball throw and second place, 50 meter dash.

The group of students were coached by Tracie Kofoot.
In order to advance to the State Competition students needed to earn a first place ribbon in at least one of the events they entered.
