INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. | Osage FFA recently took seven members to the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana. The convention ran from Tuesday, October 23 to Saturday, October 27. The seven members that attended this trip were, Ben Popp, Josie Popp, Ally Mullenbach, Olivia Smith, Alexis Meyers, Mary Ann Fox, and Emma Lindeland. We also had a graduate member, Adam Koch, receive his American Degree.
Their first day consisted of stopping at the National FFA Headquarters, visiting the Indianapolis Zoo, and attending the opening session. At the opening session, they got to listen to the main speaker, Kyle Scheele. He was inspirational keynote left everyone laughing and motivated to become the best person they can be. That night they also attended a Garth Brooks concert.
The members spent their next day at the career show, where many ag companies had booths to share with members who they are and what they have to offer. They also got to visit the FFA leadership center where they participated in team building activities. They ended the night at the 4th general session and saw many accomplishments from chapters across the nation.
On their last day they got to tour the INDY Speedway Track and museum and Fair Oaks Swine Farm. The long ride back to Iowa gave the students time to digest all of the memories and experiences the week provided.
