The 10th Hole Restaurant, Riceville, is set to open Thanksgiving weekend. It is located adjacent to a new hotel also being built at the Riceville Golf Course, along Highway 9 on the east edge of Riceville.

OSAGE | Greens at the 10th Hole Bar and Grill will not be manicured, rather they will be served on plates for hungry customers, when the newest restaurant in Riceville opens later this month.

According to Jordan Oulman, President of the Riceville Area Development (RAD), the projected date for opening is Thanksgiving weekend. “We are looking for a January 1, 2018 opening on the hotel side.”

“Currently, on the 10th Hole club side, we are finishing the floor, the kitchen area and are setting up kitchen equipment,” Oulman said. “On the hotel side, we have hung the sheet rock and are starting to mud and tape it. When we get done with the hotel side of it, we will be finishing the large downstairs party room, which will hold up to 130 people. The gravel parking lot is pretty much finished, and we will have handicapped parking.

“Currently, we seem to be on budget, but we will have a lot of bills coming in these last months.”

The complex, which is adjacent to the Riceville Golf Course, sets back off of Highway 9, which runs through Riceville. “We have taken out quite a few trees to get exposure. We will have a lighted sign out front,” Oulman said. He said RAD also hopes to post a sign toward the east side of Riceville on Highway 9, so travelers will be made aware of the restaurant and hotel. Though room rates and menus have not been established, Oulman said the prices will be competitive, as well as the restaurant price.

RAD has announced the new manager of the 10th Hole Bar and Grill will be Osage native Bradley Ringhofer. “We are pretty excited about Bradley, because he has had several years of culinary school, and has worked several years in startup kitchens.” Ringhofer will manage the bar, wait staff and dining area. Nancy Eastman, McIntire, will be the front-house manager. “She has had 10 years of experience in the restaurant business working at Whiskey Creek Bar & Grill,” Oulman said.

Tentative hours for the restaurant are weekdays 10 a.m. to 10 or 11 p.m. Weekends will have varying hours for opening and closing. “We are opening earlier during the week mostly for the golfers,” Oulman said.
