On Wednesday, July 17 and Thursday, July 18 Iowa State Extension and Outreach of Mitchell County will host a Drone Discovery 2-Day Camp for youth in grades 6-8.

Youth will explore the science behind drones, how objects fly, and techniques to take photos using a drone through hands-on experiential learning.

During the event, youth will work with Extension Agricultural Engineering Specialist Kapil Aurora, 4-H and County Youth Coordinator, Olivia Logue and several volunteers and guest speakers from the community, including Valent BioSciences LLC employees, members of the Mitchell County Strategic Response Team and Garrett Barker.
