OSAGE | On Friday, March 22, seven teams participated in the Sixth Annual Ag Day Grocery Cart races at Randy's Neighborhood Market, in Osage, with the big win going to St. Ansgar State Bank – but the biggest winners were the Mitchell County Food Bank and the Riceville Food Pantry.

Coming in second place was Mitchell County Regional Health Center and in third place was Cooper's Osage Auto.

Also participating in the annual event included Helena Agri-Enterprises LLC, Mauser Insurance Company, Northern Country Coop and the Mitchell County Extension and Outreach: Mitchell County.

All teams had to find the right ingredients for recipes as quickly as possible and which hit a price total between $45 and $50. Before the races, the teams also had to take an ag-related quiz which helped to lower their times.

The Mitchell County Farm Bureau donated up to $50 per team as well as each team donating the food collected. A total of $700 was donated.
