Athletics at Osage High have been exciting this year. We were district champions in football, wrestling and volleyball. Volleyball specifically tore through the Top of Iowa East conference.
Ellie Bobinet and Dani Johnson, both sophomores at Osage, not only were they successful in their volleyball season for Osage, but they have also been successful in their club volleyball season.
Bobinet and Johnson have played club volleyball for a while but started Sixpack in 2017.
Bobinet said the practices are really intensely coached. They play against a lot of D1 athletes and are improving their game each day they step in the gym. The two said they learn something new each practice and work on getting good at even the little things.
This year, they’ve had an undefeated season and are set to compete at Nationals in Indianapolis, Indiana for a third time in a row.
Johnson said some of her best memories of Sixpack were made at Nationals the last two years.

Of course the team has won the national tournament the last two years.
Club volleyball offers a lot of growth and assistance to girls passionate about the sport.
Johnson and Bobinet both agreed Sixpack specifically is a great atmosphere and it has benefited them greatly.
“I’ve definitely grown mentally and physically in all aspects of the sport,” Johnson said.
Nationals start July 3 and everyone at Osage High School is wishing the girls the best of luck.
