Waldorf runner Erica Fee leads a pack of runners May 13 during the North Star Conference women’s 800 meter run. Following fee is former Forest City High School trackster Victoria Sopko, who now runs for Dakota State of Madison, South Dakota. Sopko finished fourth in the race and Fee was seventh.

FOREST CITY — The Waldorf University men’s and women’s track and field teams wrapped up the three-day North Star Athletic Association championships on May 13.

The men finished fourth with 86.5 points while the women were fifth with 47 points.

For the men, Nathan Meiners was second in the 5,000 in 16:12.69 and second in the 10,000 in 34:15.34.

Isaiah Craig was second in the high jump with a leap of 1.94 meters, third in the triple jump with a leap of 13.20 meters and fourth in the 400 in 51.38 seconds.

Chasen Selsor was third in the 3,000 steeplechase in 11:17.06, Mark Ahlers was fourth in the 800 in 2:03.87, Justin Jacobi was fourth in the 110 high hurdles in 16.04 while teammate Andre Davis was fifth in 16.47 seconds.

Meanwhile, Caleb Gilbertson was fourth in the decathlon with 5,237 points while Jacobi was fifth with 5,210 points. Gilbertson was also fifth in the long jump with a leap of 6 meters and Korey Beaman was sixth in the 400 hurdles in 1:02.04.

Also, Demetrius Baker was fifth in the hammer throw with a toss of 39.28 meters sixth in the shot put with a throw of 11.12 meters and the Warriors were second in the 4x400 in 3:30.80, fourth in the 4x800 in 8:38.08 and fifth in the 4x100 in 49.25.

For the women, Abby Buehler won the triple jump with a leap of 10.89 meters and was second in the long jump with a leap of 5.01 meters.

Erica Fee was second in the 1,500 in a time of 5:12.48 while Peyton Russell finished second in the javelin with a throw of 36.73 meters.

Meanwhile, Patricia Molina finished fourth in the heptathlon with 2,755 points, Adriana Garber was fifth in the high jump with a leap of 1.45 meters and Danielle Holt was sixth in the 100 hurdles

The Warriors were fourth in the 4x800 in 12:36.38 and fifth in the 4x400 in 4:53.11.
