ALGONA — Forest City finished a tournament Saturday at Algona with a perfect 6-0 record, and exacted a little revenge with a win over Lake Mill as well as it won the tournament championship.
O the day, the Indians beat Lake Mills (21-16, 18-21, 15-9), Sheldon (21-18, 21-16), Algona (23-25, 21-9, 15-7), Spencer (21-15, 16-21, 15-8), Carroll (21-13, 21-12), and Clear Lake (17-21, 21-13, 15-7).
Cora Holland finished with 42 kills and 53 digs to lead the Indians, Hannah Anderson had 44 digs, 39 kills and 13 ace serves, Brea Dillavou had 98 assists and 35 digs, and Kelsey Koch added 56 digs of her own and finished with 19 kills.
Additionally for the Indians, Kaylee Miller had 27 digs and 11 kills, and Becca Seglem added five ace serves.
On Monday, Oct. 9, the Indians hosted Central Springs in a Top of Iowa Conference crossover match, which they won in three sets, 25-20, 25-20, 25-15.
Anderson tallied a team-high 14 kills to go along with 12 digs while Koch added 13 kills and five digs.
Holland finished with nine kills and 14 digs, Dillavou handed out 30 assists and recorded 10 digs, and Emma Segerstrom had six kills.
forest City finishes its regular season 27-3 and open tournament play Wednesday night at home vs. Algona.
