FOREST CITY | Forest City’s wrestling team returns a handful of players, but the roster is still filled with youngsters.
After going a 13-16 dual record in 2017, the Indians will look to build during coach Steve Staudt’s eighth year.
There are only five upperclassmen on the Indians’ roster, which leaves a lot of responsibility too the freshmen and sophomores on the team.
“We had some kids finish the year strong last year, and our success this year will depend on the kids picking up where they left off last year.” Staudt said.
Staudt said he expects Lake Mills, Osage and Central Springs to be the primary competition in the conference.
Gabe Staudt, Jacob Trunkhill and Brett Walton are the lone seniors on the roster. Kristian Gunderson and Hayden Hoffmeyer, both juniors, are the remaining upperclassmen set to participate for the Indians this season.
