The Forest City baseball team scored a four-run victory in its season opening game against Hampton-Dumont, on Monday, May 20.
The Indians scored their nine runs on six hits, and nine walks, while starting pitcher Jordan Spooner allowed five runs in 3 1/3 innings. The Indians brought in senior Blaze Andersen in to pitch the final 3 2/3 innings. He allowed just one hit, and struck out seven hitters.

The Indians favored a patient approach at the plate, as Andersen and Luke Johnson each drew three walks.
