State Meet 1

Tavian Mikes competes in the nine- and ten-year-old boys' 100-meter race. He placed first at the state meet.

Several Forest City elementary and middle students participated in the 2019 Healthy Iowa Kids State Track meet held on Saturday, June 22 at Marshalltown High School.

The Live Healthy Iowa Kids Track Championships event was founded in 2015 to continue on the tradition of the Hershey Track and Field Games in Iowa. Like it’ predecessor, the Live Healthy Iowa Kids Track Championships is a free, state-wide event requiring no special equipment to participate.

Partnering with parks and recreation departments and school districts throughout the state, local meets are hosted all across Iowa, giving participants a chance to compete in their hometowns. Local meet champions then had the opportunity to participate in the state meet held in Marshalltown.
