ALGONA | Kaylyn Meyers scored 22 points as the Golden Bears earned a tough victory against Forest City on Monday, Dec. 17.
The final score was Bishop-Garrigan 42, Forest City 36.
Noelle Jones led the Indians with 12 points, hitting a pair of three-pointers. Three other players scored at least five points: Kelsey Koch, Ellie Caylor and Shae Dillavou. Caylor led the team with nine rebounds.
Forest City 62, Belmond-Klemme 15
Forest City went on the road and crushed Belmond-Klemme on Tuesday, Dec. 18, limiting the broncos to seven points or fewer in each quarter.
The final score was Forest City 62, Belmond-Klemme 15.
Ten Indians players scored, led by Shae Dillavou's 15. Kalin Knudtson had 11. Dillavou also led the team with eight rebounds and four assists.
The Indians were tasked with facing a tough Crestwood team Thursday, Dec. 20, and the result was a 13-point loss.
The final score was Crestwood 62, Forest City 49.
Forest City led 14-13 after the first quarter before Crestwood slowly gained an advantage.
Noelle Jones had 10 points, and so did Kaylee Miller. Ellie Caylor and Shae Dillavou had seven points. Dillavou also had six rebounds, five assists and two steals.
The Indians (5-5) start 2019 on the road to Lake Mills (4-5). They then travel to Clear Lake (6-3) on Saturday, Jan. 5.
