Forest City's boys track and field team earned a fifth-place finish at the Kyle Marquard Invitational at North Butler on Monday, April 15.
The Indians had four athletes place in the top 10 in the high jump. Elijah Weaver's jump of 5 feet, 8 inches was good for fourth, and Michael Olson's just of 5 feet, 6 inches put him at fifth.
Kaleb Umbaugh and Andrew Snyder were part of a three-way tie for eighth place with jumps of 5 feet, 4 inches.

Forest City also saw success in the long jump, where two Indians placed in the top three. Jordan Spooner's jump of 19 feet, 8 1/2 inches was good for second, and Brady Cantu jumped 19 feet, 7 inches for third place.
Tony Thomas placed first in the shot put with a long throw of 46 feet, 6 inches.
This week, the Indians traveled to Cedar Falls for a meet, with results not available at press time. They are on the road to Aplington-Parkersburg for a meet on Tuesday, April 23 and then on Friday, April 26, at Hampton-Dumont.
