Forest City baseball team advances to semifinals

Forest City beat Garner-Hayfield-Ventura by a 12-3 score on Saturday, July 13, as the Indians advanced to the district semifinals. 

The Indians will play the Osage Green Devils for a spot in the finals, at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16, at New Hampton.

The Forest City baseball team lost a high-scoring 15-12 game to Newman Catholic on Wednesday, July 10, as two different Indians pitchers surrendered six runs. 

On offense, the Indians had four home runs, two each from Reese Moore and Luke Johnson. But it was no match for the Knights, who managed 14 hits and 15 runs.
