GARNER | The Forest City boys team finished in third place in its nine-hole match against GHV and North Union, with a team score 0f 212. Avery Busta, however, had a fantastic day for the Indians, shooting a 44, which tied him for first place with Hayden Nicoson of North Union.
GHV won the competition, with a team score of 199. Caden Vitek led the Cardinals with 45 shots, and Noah Boeckman was second at 48.
For the Indians, Jayden Kendall came in second place behind Busta, at 54 strokes. Riley Helgesson was next at 56, and Andy Heidemann came in fourth, with 58.
Monday night, the Indians were scheduled to travel to Belmond-Klemme for a triangular meet against Belmond-Klemme and Lake Mills. Results were not available at press time.
Tuesday night the Indians traveled to Clarion-Goldfield for a meet. The Indians competed at a triangular meet against North Iowa and West Hancock at North Iowa.
