Avery Busta threw a no-hitter on Friday, May 31 in a 2-0 Forest City win over North Iowa. He also got the win after Blaze Anderson drove in a pair of runs in the top of the seventh.
Busta walked only two and struck out four, getting through the game in 72 pitches. Busta, Isaiah Monson and Micah Lambert each contributed one hit.
Forest City and Northwood-Kensett played an incredibly high-scoring affair on Thursday, May 30, and the Indians emerged victorious, 28-18.
Forest City had 14 hits and 18 walks. Isaiah Monson and Blaze Andersen each had three hits. Andersen and Avery Busta had four runs apiece.
Monson had four RBIs, Busta had three, as did Luke Johnson, who also finished with four walks.
The Indians scored a ridiculous 19 runs in the fifth inning.
The Indians collected 11 hits during a Wednesday, May 29 blowout victory against Garner-Hayfield-Ventura. Blaze Anderson, who had six strikeouts on the mound, had a team-high four hits and three RBIs.

The Cardinals were led by Jared Shaw, who had two hits and three RBIs. Jack Ermer and Dalton Graff each had a pair of hits, as well.
The Newman Catholic baseball team rolled to its third straight dominating victory on Tuesday, May 28, with a 10-0 win over Forest City. Senior Josh Fitzgerald scored three runs, as the Knights scored all of their runs in the first three innings.
Senior Evan Paulus pitched four innings, allowing only one hit and no runs, while striking out 12 batters.
Freshman Reese Moore pitched 2 1/3 innings, and allowed nine runs on four walks and four hits. The Indians managed three hits as an offense.
This week, the Indians started the week at home on Monday, June 3 against Belmond-Klemme and Tuesday, June 4 against Humboldt. They then travel to Osage on Wednesday, June 5, Thursday, June 6. The Indians end the week at home against Central Springs.
