ALGONA | Abbey Holmes and Aliyah Buscher combined for 31 points as Algona picked up a season-opening victory against Forest City.
The Bulldogs led 17-10 after the first quarter, but the Indians were outscored by no more than three points in each quarter afterward.
Nicole Smidt had 13 rebounds and six steals.

The Indians are on the road Tuesday, Nov, 27 at Eagle Grove. They open their season at home on Friday, Nov. 30 against Garner-Hayfield-Ventura. They are at home again on Saturday, Dec. 1 against Northwood-Kensett.
