The Forest City Indians softball team lost to Emmetsburg 8-1 on Saturday, June 8. It was the fifth straight defeat for the Indians, who are now 3-8.
Forest City will face Nashua-Plainfield on June 12, followed by a game against Humboldt on Thursday.
The Panthers won their fifth consecutive game and blew out Forest City, 9-0 on Friday, June 7. Hannah Ausenhus struck out 15 in a complete-game shutout. She allowed only one hit and three walks.
Kaylea Fessler had three hits, including a triple. She had two RBIs, as well. The Panthers had 14 hits in total.
The Algona softball team beat Forest City by a score of 7-1 on Thursday, June 6, the second straight victory for the Bulldogs. It was the third straight defeat for the Indians.
The Osage softball team beat Forest City by one run on Wednesday, June 5, as the Green Devils slugged their way to a win behind 13 hits from their offense. Senior Katelyn Halbach had three hits, including a solo home run.

The Forest City softball team ran into the buzzsaw that is Charles City on Tueaday, June 4, falling to the Comets 14-0. The Indians were held hit-less as Charles City sophomore Samantha Heyer struck out seven on 33 pitches.
The Forest City softball team won a one-run game over Belmond-Klemme on Monday, June 3, as the Indians scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh, to take a 4-3 lead.
Junior Kennedy Klein pitched seven innings, and allowed five hits and three runs.
This week the Indians traveled to St. Ansgar, on Monday, June 10, to take on the Saints. On Tuesday, June 11, the Indians travel to Estherville. They host Nashua-Plainfield on Wednesday, June 12 and Humboldt on Thursday, June 13. They end the week by traveling to Rockford on Friday, June 14.
