Pearl (Twait) Fjetland

Pearl (Twait) Fjetland, 97 of Forest City died peacefully on Thursday, November 22, 2018 at Hospice House in Mason City Iowa.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Leland with Lay Minister Rose Visser officiating.
Pearl, the daughter of Neil and Alma (Bradich) Twait, was born April 2, 1921, at home in Buffalo Center. She grew up on the family farm and attended and graduated from Buffalo Center School.
She was married to Melvin J. Fjetland July 1, 1940, in Algona at the Court House. The Fjetlands lived in various towns finally settling in the Leland area. Pearl worked in various locations: Deluxe Products in Lake Mills, her love of the food industry took her as a cook to the Winnebago County Home, Forest City Hospital and the Lake Mills Care Center. She was an active member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Leland, Iowa
Survivors include her daughter, Janis Aulich of Rancho Cordova, CA; son-in-law, Robert Boeckholt from Topeka, KS; grandchildren, Brenda (Gary) Sleep; Debbie Aulich; Michael (Cindy) Aulich. Also surviving are her cousin, Duane (Lillian) Twait, OH; nephews, Bennett (Julie) Quamme, Rake IA; Bill Fjetland, Algona, IA; niece Shirley Timmer, Oconomowoc, WI; and her special friend, Sue (Mark) Hoeft, Forest City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Joseph Raymond Twait; a son, Markley; a daughter, Sandra Boeckholt; grandsons, Brent Boeckholt and Gary Aulich.
