FOREST CITY — The halls of Forest City High School are swelling with Indian pride this week.
Homecoming festivities are underway throughout the district, and although the week officially kicked off Monday with special dress-up days, there are plenty of activities to which both students and community members can look forward to today through Friday night.
This year’s dress-up days are Monday – Mom/Dad Day, Tuesday — Duo Day, Wednesday — Meme/Vine Day, Thursday — Salad Dressing Day and Friday- Spirit Day.
Special Thursday night activities include, from 7-8 p.m., Powder Puff football and 8-9 p.m., He-Man Volleyball.
On Friday, from 1:30-2:05 p.m. will be the Pep Rally, which includes the coronation, and from 2:30 – 3:15 p.m., the Homecoming Parade.
King and Queen Candidates and court members include:
FRESHMEN: Keevan Jones, daughter of Brad and Sherri Jones, and Carter Bruckhoff, son of Jason and Jessica Bruckhoff.
SOPHOMORES: Olivia Gayther, daughter of Thomas and Kathie Gayther, and Brady Anderson, son of James and Laurann Anderson.
JUNIORS: Brettin Linder, daughter of Ed and Kristin Linder, Audrey Skjeie, daughter of Rick and Shelly Skjeie, Drake Bang, son of David and Melanne Bang and Calvin Aberg, son of Brent and Robin Aberg.
SENIORS: Josie Edel, daughter of Scott and Jeri Edel, Cora Holland, daughter of Natalie Hammer and Chris Holland, Sarah Hovinga, daughter of Jeff and Colleen Hovinga, Natalie Jefson, daughter of Chad and Rachel Jefson, Avery Busta, son of Dennis and Rosie Busta, Gabe Staudt, son of Steve and Nikki Staudt, Ian Bennett, son of Courtney and Chris Lorenz and Bryan Bennett, and Jacob Olson, son of Jesse and Melanie Olson
Homecoming activities will culminate Friday night when the Forest City Indians take on the West Hancock Eagles. The game begins at 7:30 p.m.
Forest City students will end the Homecoming week Saturday night with a dance held at the high school from 9 – 11 p.m.
