The Forest City YMCA will host a Live Healthy Iowa Kids track meet at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22 at the Forest City High School Track. This event is free to all area youth. The rain date will be at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 25.
The Live Healthy Iowa Kids Track Championships is a free, statewide event that requires no special equipment to participate.
The local meet is open to all area youth ages 7-14 who will compete in several running and field events. Participants can choose 3 events including 50m dash, 100m dash, 200m dash, 400m dash, 800m dash, 1600m dash, 4X100 relay, standing long jump and softball throw.

Participants are divided by age and compete against that age group with the winners in each event automatically qualifying for the state championships on June 22 in Marshalltown.
