The Forest City Police Department will offer Pet Registration Day from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, at the police station, 525 North 4th Street, Forest City.
All dogs and cats must be registered prior to Monday, July 1. This day was organized by the Forest City Police Department to offer a convenient time for residents to register their pets.
Chapter 55 of the City Code of Ordinances states residents of Forest City, who own an animal, or take ownership of an animal, over six months old, shall procure a city dog or cat license from the city clerk within sixty days of acquiring the pet.
Register pets from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the Forest City Police Department, 525 N. 4th Street, Forest City.

Proof of rabies vaccination, microchipping information (if chipped), a pet photo, and proof of spayed/neutering (if done) must be provided at the time of registration. Registered pets will receive a registration tag that must be displayed on the collar of the animal.
• The lifetime fee for a license $60. The fee is reduced by $25 if the animal is spayed or neutered and/or $25 if the animal is microchipped.
• If the owner prefers to pay annually, the fee for a license shall be $10 for spayed or neutered animal and $20 for an unaltered animal.
