FCHS State Speech students

FOREST CITY | The Forest City High School speech team competed at individual state contest on Saturday, March 9 at Waldorf Univesity.

The following students received division one ratings: Meggie Kleveland (public address and original oratory), Alyssa Buffington (original oratory), Natalie Jefson (original oratory), Sophia Kudej (prose), Lyndee Jones (acting), Olivia Gayther (acting), Anna Lehmann (after dinner), Brianna Carlson (after dinner), Alexandria Brahm (poetry and spontaneous speaking), Skylar Hall (improv), Levi Wood (improv), Olivia Sarasio Meyer (expository address and storytelling), Josie Edel (review and public address), Micaiah Krutsinger (musical theater), Sarah Hovinga (musical theater), Anna Weaver (musical theater), Dan Hovinga (musical theater) and Abbie Segerstrom (musical theater).

The following students received division two ratings at the contest: Crisia Doroteo (prose and poetry), Andre Olson (acting), Elsa Yeager (review), Seth May (review), Olivia Gayther (literary program), Laura Harms (storytelling) and Kailyn Corey (poetry).

These students were coached by Scott Bertelsen, Josh Sparrgrove, Ian Bartelt, Dan May, and Lynnea Fredrickson.
