CLARION | West Hancock's girls track and field team earned a second-place finish at the Cowgirl Relays on Tuesday, April 9, finishing with 209 points. West Fork won with 215. Belmond-Klemme was two points behind the Eagles, finishing in third.

No Eagles runners placed first in track events, but Amanda Chizek was first in the shot put. She had the event-high throw of 36 feet, 7.5 inches. Madison Eisenman's throw of 33 feet, seven inches was good for fourth.

Kennedy Kelly, Emily Ryerson and Rachel Leerar each earned a second-place finish, as well.

On Monday, the Eagles traveled to North Union for a meet. Results were not available at press time. They travel to Garner for a meet on Tuesday, April 16.
