The West Hancock baseball team lost its season opener to Clarion-Goldfield-Dows on Monday, May 20, as junior Brayden Leerar allowed four runs on three hits, while getting no run support from his offense. 

The Cowboys scored two runs in the bottom of the first inning, and two in the fifth.

On Friday, May 24, the Eagles took on Rockford. Score were not available at press time.

This week, the Eagles host Lake Mills on Tuesday, May 28 and North Iowa on Wednesday, May 29. They travel to West Fork on Friday, May 31.
