Three West Hancock wrestlers qualified for the state tournament, as two came in second place in their weight class, and one wrestler became a district champion on Saturday, Feb. 10 at the 1A District 4 match. 

Tate Hagen lost the first place match, but pinned Zack Wagner of Lake Mills at 5:47 to qualify for state in the 170 pound division. Tanner Hagen came in second at 220 pounds, beating Cade Steelman of GT-RA in the second place match by a 5-3 decision. 

The Eagles' only district champion was Chandler Redenius, who beat North Union's Jake Anderson with a pin at 4:46, in the 285 pound weight class.
