OSAGE | The West Hancock girls team suffered its first loss of the season on Tuesday, Feb. 5, as the Green Devils fought back from a halftime deficit to beat the Eagles by nine.

The final score was Osage 62, West Hancock 53.

Sophomore Rachel Leerar, as usual, led the team with 18 points on 6-of-15 shooting. Leerar also had four free throws, and five assists. Junior Amanda Chizek was her usual dominant self on the boards, with 12 total rebounds, to go along with 13 points. Chizek fouled out late in the game, a big turning point for the Eagles. With their most overpowering defender gone, West Hancock couldn't stop the Green Devils offense in the fourth quarter. Osage outscored the Eagles 21-14 in the final frame.
