BRITT | The West Hancock girls team destroyed North Iowa on Thursday, Jan. 31, outscoring the Bison 53-12 in the first half en route to a 53-point victory.
The final score was West Hancock 77, North Iowa 24.
Sophomore Rachel Leerar scored 27 points on 11-of-15 shooting with four assists and six steals, while Amanda Chizek scored 13 points. Chizek also collected eight rebounds, with five steals and four blocks. West Hancock stayed undefeated with the victory, while North Iowa fell to 3-17 on the year.
West Hancock 69, Bishop Garrigan 40
The Eagles continued their season of dominance Friday, Feb. 1, picking up a 29-point victory against Bishop Garrigan. The Golden Bears had won eight consecutive games heading into the contest.
The final score was West Hancock 69, Bishop Garrigan 40.
The Eagles won their second game via blowout in as many days, as West Hancock improved to 20-0 with a crushing victory against Belmond-Klemme.
