BRITT | The annual awards night for West Hancock High School boys basketball was recently held.

The following are a few comments from West Hancock head coach Brian Peterson about this year's basketball season.

“This past season we lost a lot of close games,” Peterson said, “and we dealt with a lot of injuries early in the season, which carried over during the season.”

Peterson added trying to get consistency with his top players was a struggle all year.”

The Eagles will have three seniors graduating - Gavin Becker, Lucas Weiland and Lamar Flowers.

“All of these student-athletes have dealt with many things throughout their careers,” Peterson said, “and this season as well, coming out the other end for the better.”

Next year, Peterson said he is looking for more consistency with his line-up, adding depth to his rotation and to work on the little things that will carry over to the game to win those close games.
