BROWNSDALE, MINN. — Edith Camilla Nieman was born on the family farm near Britt, on May 21, 1932, the daughter of V. Bernhard and Anna (Peterson) Jensen. She graduated from Britt High School in 1949.
She married Albert Nieman on Feb. 26, 1954. The couple farmed near Crystal Lake and Emmons, Minnesota, before they moved to their farm near Brownsdale, Minnesota, where they have lived for the past 42 years. Edith enjoyed playing the accordion, listening to music along with various other hobbies.
She is survived by her son, Bruce (Vicky) Nieman of Brownsdale, Minnesota, and daughter, Shirley (Alan) Olson of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota; grandchildren Brandon (Sarah) Nieman, Jessica (Ryan) Stegbauer and Nathan Olson; great-grandchildren Christopher, Blaine and Aubrey Nieman and Amy, Zoey, Sophia, Trevor and Kylee Stegbauer; siblings, brothers Nels Jensen of Britt, Edwin (Florene) of Charles City, and sister Christina Bruggeman of Klemme; many relatives and special friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert; her parents, Bernhard and Anna Jensen; brother Robert Jensen.
