BRITT | Students at West Hancock Schools had the chance to throw food at a teacher. It was all in the name of good fun and a great cause.

On Tuesday, Nov. 20, West Hancock elementary and middle school students participated in the Pie in the Face fundraiser as part of the high school student leadership team’s Top of Iowa Conference fundraiser.

Whomever had the most money in their bucket got a pie in the face. Mrs. Savoy, Mrs. Schleusner, Mrs. Slicner, Mrs. Maryland, Mrs. Loeschen, Mrs. DeHart and Mrs. Hildman were the lucky ones. At the high school, Miss Robinson, Mr. Francis and Coach Peterson each received a pie to the face.

Elementary students and staff raised $226 and middle School raised over $360 for the food bank in Britt and the Salvation Army.
