North Iowa Community Education is offering two classes in November.

The first class is “Intro to Knitting” will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 12 and 19, at TSB Community Room in Forest City.

The class will teach how to knit and purl, read pattern and how to gauge. Class members will also learn about the different kinds of yarn. Students need to bring one skein of yarn and two size 11 knitting needles. The project will to begin knitting a scarf.

The second class is “Make and Take Sign Painting” on Tuesday, Nov. 13 in Britt.

Join Knotty Pine Design for a “make and take” board painting class. They will provide everything you will need to complete the project. You will apply a stencil to paint on your design. Boards are 100 percent customizable with the paint/stain colors of your choice. Wear “paint” clothes. Aprons are provided. You are welcome to bring food/beverage (no alcohol). Students ages 14 and up are welcome.
