BRITT | The West Hancock High School Eagle Chapter of the National Honor Society has inducted 17 new members into its ranks.

A banquet and Induction Ceremony was held on Thursday, March 14, at the Britt United Methodist Church, Britt.

Inducted were Carlee Bruns, Ann Horstman, Tiffany Sherwood, Chrysta Bruns, Max Kumsher, Shae Smith, Brooklyn Buren, Brayden Leerar, Dalton Subject, Mazie Erdahl, Rachel Leerar, Katey Tegtmeyer, Mahayla Faust, Grace Rosin, Cole Wood, Autumn Hildebrand and Emily Ryerson.

They joined current members Gavin Becker, Gabby Bell, Bennett Bruns, Natalie Lemmon, Keifer Carlson, Amanda Chizek, Marissa Eekhoff, Madison Eisenman,

Liliana Hill, Riley Hiscocks, Ryleigh Hudspeth, Cristina Mendoza, Josef Smith and Josh Stromer.

The guest speaker was Ahna (Bruns) Eekhoff, daughter of Eric and Ellen Bruns, Britt. While in high school, Eekhoff was involved in volleyball, basketball, track, speech, NHS, pep club and FCA. After graduating from West Hancock in 2012, Eekhoff graduated from ISU, in 2016, with a BA in Elementary Education with endorsements in Special Education and Reading. In 2018, she became a special education teacher at West Hancock Elementary School.
