GARNER | Hancock County Health System's Community Health has been named a 2018 HHCAHPS Honors Elite recipient by HEALTHCAREfirst for continuously providing a positive patient experience and high quality care as measured from the patient’s point of view.
HEALTHCAREfirst is a leading provider of home health and hospice software, billing and coding services, CAHPS surveys and advanced analytics. This prestigious annual review acknowledges the highest performing agencies in the United States by analyzing the performance of the Home Health Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HHCAHPS) survey satisfaction measures.
HCHS Home Health was one of only three Iowa Home Health agencies receiving the Elite honor and one of only 10 agencies in the entire state to make the list of 164.
Award recipients are identified by evaluating performance on a set of 19 satisfaction indicators. Individual agency performance scores were aggregated for the evaluation period and were compared on a question-by-questions basis to a national average score calculated from partnering home health agencies. HHCAHPS Honors recipients include agencies scoring above the national average of at least 85 percent. Elite Honors are awarded to home health agencies scoring above the average of 100 percent.
"Our HCHS Community Health team has a tradition of placing patient care, service and satisfaction as a top priority and it is certainly great to have earned this recognition to affirm that we are achieving this at the highest level," said Chelcee Schleuger, Director.
