BRITT | All the West Hancock High School students who participated in the State Large Group Speech Contest on Jan. 19 advanced to state.

Five groups from West Hancock received a Division I rating at districts: Mime, Choral Reading, Short Film, Radio 1 and Radio 2.

The following West Hancock students will compete at the State Large Group Speech Contest on Feb. 2 in Waterloo: Tiffany Sherwood, Grace Rosin, Katey Tegtmeyer, Mackenzie Wood, Ryleigh Hudspeth, Riley Hiscocks, Liliana Hill, Aileen Lechuga, Kennedy Kelly, Paige Kudej, Marissa Eekhoff, Natalie Lemmon, Shayna Ostercamp, Chance Eden, Ethan Hill, Mahayla Faust, Amanda Chizek, Leah Aitchison, Emily Ryerson, Max Kumsher, Ty Piper, Cristina Mendoza, Irvin Gomez, and Anahi Calles.
