BRITT | The annual Thanksgiving Bash is returning for its sixth year.
The event — the Britt Fire Association’s largest fundraiser of the year — will take place at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 21, at Duncan Community Hall, 2337 Nation Ave. and feature Shirts & Skins, a Minneapolis-based band that performed last year.
Shirts & Skins comprise a rotating set of two dynamic female lead singers, backed by a solid core of talented musicians on drums, bass and guitar as well as electric fiddle and keyboard.
The band’s set lists feature contemporary pop, classic rock, funk, blues and classic and modern country.
Proceeds from the bash will go to the Britt Fire Association, which is working to update its quick-attack unit, or the first vehicle taken to each call, without using taxpayer dollars. The volunteer fire department isn’t compensated for the training or calls it responds to.
Tickets are $20 and available at Swenson’s Hardware in Britt.
