BRITT | On July 10, 2017, Nancy Anderson was diagnosed with Stage III Invasive Ductal Carcinoma of the left breast. She has undergone gone 16 chemotherapy treatments over a 4.5 month time period and 30 radiation treatments over a period of 6 weeks. As of April she was declared cancer free.
A benefit committee has planned a Chris Cakes of Iowa pancake supper from 4:30-7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22 at the Evangelical Free Church of Britt. Free-will donations will be accepted.
Throughout her treatment, Nancy, who works as a Certified Medical Assistant for Hancock County Health System in the Britt Clinic, has had to miss lots of work due to treatments and recovery and will be off for several months after her last two surgeries.
Nancy and her husband Matt, are the parents of two daughters, Ashley and Emma and a son, John.
A benefit account has also been set up at Farmers Trust & Savings Bank, Britt, for drop in donations.
