BRITT | The Britt Chamber of Commerce held its annual meeting on Saturday, Feb. 10 with a large number of members present.
The Britt Chamber of Commerce has over 100 members representing the town's business community.
Current board members were recognized for their service. They includes Amy Madsen, Sandy Shear, Angie Gerdes, Heather Smith, David Fox, Jared Wingert, Matt Muth and city council representative Chad Luecht.
A list of chamber events for 2017 were reviewed. This list included annual meeting, Easter Omelette Breakfast, Chili Cookoff, Races on Main, Chillin' with the Chamber, Summer Splash at the Pool and free movie, Sunday Funday, homecoming activities, Harvest Hoedown, Treats on the Street and Frozen Frolic
Special projects or events for 2017 included Chamber After Hours, new scoreboard at Centennial Park, Chamber Charlie doll and planters on Main Street.
Election of officers was held with Angie Gerdes being elected the new chamber board president.
Members were encouraged to help the chamber board members by volunteering to help with one of the many activities promoted by the board throughout the year.
