A “For Seniors Only” program will be held at the Lime Creek Nature Center on Wednesday, November 29 from 10 a.m. – Noon. This program is funded by Humanities Iowa, a private, non-profit state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.

Actor Tom Milligan will portray Jay N. “Ding” Darling as he visits with the audience, as an old friend, in his 11th office at The Des Moines Register.

Beginning with his early years in Sioux City where as a young boy where he became aware of the natural world around him as well as his developing skills as an editorial cartoonist, he recalls his remarkable life journey.

From the introduction of The Duck Stamp to the creation of the National Wildlife Federation, Darling’s influence was felt not only through his cartoons but his actions as well.

Cost is $5.00 for nature center members and $7.00 for nonmembers.  Please call 423-5309 by 4 p.m. November 27 to register.
