Hancock County Health System names Zwiefel CEO
Britt-based Hancock County Health System named Laura Zwiefel its CEO/administrator, Jan. 26. Zwiefel has been with HCHS for 28 years, the last 21 years as chief nursing officer and assistant sdministrator.
She replaces Jeff Stampohar who resigned Jan. 26 after two years in Britt. He took a similar role in Baudette, Minnesota.
HCHS is managed by Mercy Medical Center–North Iowa.

Kolbet new executive secretary for Rotary
Suellen Kolbet of New Hampton will succeed John Last of Mason City as executive secretary for Rotary District 5970, effective July 1. The district encompasses 53 Rotary clubs across the northern half of Iowa. Kolbet has been a Rotary member since 1994 and will retire as the city clerk of New Hampton in May.

Kim Kuehner, ARNP, has joined the medical team of Mercy Family Clinic-Rockford.
She received her master's degree from Simmons College and her RN from Kirkwood Community College.

Nelson joins Mercy Diabetes Center
Jeremiah Nelson, MD, FAAP, has joined the Mercy Diabetes Center. Nelson was diagnosed with Type 1 autoimmune diabetes at age 11, inspiring him to pursue a career in medicine.
He started medical school at age 18 at the University of Missouri–Kansas City. His diabetes-focused fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis also included pediatric endocrinology.
He is a diabetologist who works with diabetes patients of all ages at any stage of life.

Nielsen joins First Citizens as CFO; Gribben promoted to COO
Mason City-based First Citizens Bank recently announced the hiring of Sarah Nielsen as chief financial officer. She replaces Jeff Gribben who is the new executive vice president/chief operating officer.
Nielsen has more than 22 years of financial leadership experience, and from August 2005 to June 2017 was CFO for Winnebago Industries, Inc. in Forest City. Prior to that, she was a senior manager in the audit practice with Deloitte & Touche, LLP in Minneapolis. Nielsen graduated from North Dakota and is a CPA; she lives in Clear Lake with her husband and two children.
Gribben was the bank's CFO for the past 17 years. In his new position, he will provide "overall strategic leadership and direction to the company in all areas of business," according to a release.

Lora Jans, a native of Reinbeck, is a loan assistant in the Clear Lake commercial banking department. She has 27 years of business banking experience.
Angela Hauda, from Madison, Wisconsin, is a receptionist in the Clear Lake office. She lives in Mason City and has 26 years of customer service experience and 21 years of administrative experience.
Jennifer Burke, from Oelwein and a graduate of DMACC, is a mortgage loan servicing specialist in the Clear Lake office. She lives in Meservey and has 15 years of retail, real estate, and consumer loan experience.
Three join Lichtsinn RV
Forest City-based Lichtsinn RV welcomed Andrea Wellik, accounting and finance analyst, Amanda Smith, administrative assistant, and Miranda Krein, RV finishing and quality control, to its team.
Wellik is a graduate of Forest City High School and attended NIACC for medical office administration. She was previously a senior customer service representative specialist at MBT Bank in Forest City.
Smith, a native of Mapleton, graduated from Iowa School of Beauty for Cosmetology. She was previously a chiropractic assistant at Haas Chiropractic in Mason City.
Krein is a graduate of Forest City High School. She previously worked at Plumb Supply Company in Mason City in the warehouse.
Three join Lichtsinn RV
Forest City-based Lichtsinn RV announced the addition of Devin Richter, detailer and finisher, Christopher Stone and Jeremy Gilbertson, finishing and quality control team leads.
Richter, a graduate of West Hancock, previously worked at 3M Company in Forest City.
Stone, who was born in Okinawa, Japan, and moved around the world and the U.S. as his father was in the military, graduated from UNLV. He previously served as the car wash manager at Fabulous Freddy’s in Las Vegas.
Gilbertson, a graduate of Lake Mills and Des Moines Area Community College, was most recently a driver with LB Transport in Buffalo Center.
Three join NutriQuest in Mason City
NutriQuest's Mason City office recently named three new employees: Kenny Seidel, Dr. Petra Chang, and Dr. Liang (Ted) Chen.
Seidel is a senior account manager for swine. He was previously an account manager for Phibro Animal Health. Seidel graduated from Arizona; he and is wife currently live in Kearney, Missouri.
Chang will serve as technical sales and service for swine. She was previously a key account manager for Kemin Industries. She has degrees from Sao Paulo and North Carolina; she lives in Des Moines.
Chen will be the dairy research coordinator. He was previously a dairy nutritionist specialist at Aurora Organic Dairy. He has degrees from South China Agricultural and Virginia Tech; he lives in Appleton, Minnesota with his wife and children
Vaith forms River City Iowa Realty
Jim Vaith announced River City Iowa Realty, formally Edwards Brandt & Associates, is now under new ownership. Vaith, the new owner, has been in the Mason City real estate market for 35 years; RCIR is located at 2019 Fourth St. SW. Jennifer Ramaeker joined the firm as a broker associate. She has been in the business for 22 years.
Versluis joins First Security
Julie Versluis has joined Charles City-based First Security Bank & Trust as vice president and trust officer. Versluis, a native of Jesup, has 20 years of trust experience and is a member and former office-holder in several trade organizations. She graduated from Kirkwood Community College, Cannon Trust School, Cannon Financial Institute, and the Schools of Banking Trust.

William, a native of Nashville, has worked with seniors for more than five years. She lives in Northwood with her husband and their son.
Buhr, from the Mason City area, has more than 10 years of experience in staffing and health care. He has degrees from Iowa State and Ottawa, and lives with his wife and three sons.
Uhde, Jones join Clear Lake Bank & Trust
Clear Lake Bank & Trust announced the addition of two new employees: Tonya Uhde and Hannah Jones.
Uhde, from the Stewartville, Minnesota area, will join the Garner office. She has four years of experience in retail, consumer lending and real estate banking. She lives in rural Meservey with her husband; they have two grown children.
Jones, a Mason City native and graduate of NIACC and Iowa State, will be a a trust assistant in the Clear Lake office. She most recently worked in insurance, and she lives in Clear Lake.
Henkel Construction promotes Phillips
Henkel Construction Company announced the promotion of Bill Phillips to business development director. Phillips joined Henkel in September 2016 as a business development representative. He will now oversee business development activities and staff for Henkel’s North Iowa and Central Iowa offices. Phillips lives in Mason City with his wife; they have three grown children.
