The Forest City High School boys bowling team remained undefeated (5-0) by beating Waverly-Shell Rock 3,031-2,890 in its home meet on Friday, Jan 5.

The meet was the second in a row of more than 3,000 pins for the boys. 

Conner Thompson has been getting better every week and put up an astonishing 526 two-game series with scores of 268 and 258. That is easily the highest two game competition score bowled in Forest City bowling history, including the club years.

Levi Wood was not far behind with a 470 series with games of 233 and 237. Eli Johnson also reached the 400-mark with 429 including games of 180 and 249.

The Forest City High School girls bowling team (3-2) bowled well against a very good Waverly-Shell Rock team, but didn't quite catch them in the baker games, losing 2,633-2,466.

Shayne Hoeft led the way with a series of 384 from games of 214 and 170. Fran Wasicek also bowled a strong performance with a 369 series and games of 219 and 150.

The JV boys team also won 2,354-2,239. Jagger Thompson led the team with a 393 series and a 233 game. The second JV mixed team lost 1,989-1,866.

The Indians traveled to North Iowa High on Friday, Jan. 12. They travel to Decorah on Friday, Jan. 19.
